It is our intention to preserve the character of the existing traditional vineyard of 150 ha and to convert the additional 125 ha (309 acres) of virgin land into Argentina’s first Vineyard Village
It is furthermore our intention to explore this treasure on a small scale by converting it into a safe, quiet, cozy and totally private retreat and second home for a privileged group of wine enthusiasts to enjoy the unspoiled beauty of Finca Los Amigos together with their families and friends.
It is our ambition to offer you a premium vineyard estate for less than 25% of the price you would pay in Napa Valley or in the Bordeaux region - managed by us, if you wish so.
Location:
The vineyard Finca Los Amigos is located on 840 meters / 2755 feet above see level in the south east of Mendoza, approx. 50 km (31 miles) from the city - surrounded by the country’s most prestigious wine cellars (eg. Altos Las Hormigas, our direct neighbor).
Size:
Phase 1: About half of the surface of the existing vineyard will be used in the first development step. Hence, approximately 75 ha (185 acres) have been subdivided into independent vineyard units using the existing structure and even some of the previous employee houses which can be renovated.
Phase 2: Out of the 125 ha (309 acres) of virgin land, 100 ha will be used for approx. 50 individual vineyards estates of different sizes.
General Infrastructure:
A surface of 25 ha (62 acres) will be used for common infrastructure such as wine-producing and wine-keeping facilities, barns, employee housing as well as a wine tasting room. Furthermore, there will be a little restaurant and a “Wine Lodge” with guest-rooms.
The “Vineyard Village” will provide individuality, privacy, security and all the necessary state-of-the-art technology used for the elaboration of great wines.
Wine Production:
Not only do you choose the varieties you wish to plant in your vineyard but you are also given the possibility to define both quantity and quality of the wine(s) you intend to produce. Furthermore you can be part of the elaboration process - if you have time!
Management:
Last but not least, you can count on professional vineyard- & wine making management. You determine your personal involvement in the different activities according to the time you can dedicate to your vineyard. On a yearly basis, you define the tasks you want to delegate - and we take care of everything… - we even fill up your fridge… before your arrival.
