 | El Calafate This small town with a population of seven thousands is the point of departure for Los Glaciers National Park. Water from thawed ice floating from different Glaciers in the park pour into "Lago Argentino", making it the largest lake (1,600 square kilometers) in Argentina and forming a true channel of ice flows. The most amazing glaciers are the impressive "Upsala", the biggest in South America, and the famous "Perito Moreno", which is a true ice river with 60 kilometers length and walls until 60 meters high.
